I posted a link up a while ago in response to a similar thread by Garrie for a Panasonic badged version of the FL-50 from Ebay.

He bought on and was really pleased with it as i recall.

i will have a look for the link later.

That body looks suspiciously like the Metz AF 48 and 58 ones, possibly manufactured under license in Germany? I recently got an AF48 and cannot fault it, a superb replacement for my FL50 and 134.99

Main passage of google translation if you can use some imagination ! :)

This takes it like flash with TTL series from Olympus on.
100% positive feedback on this article.

This flash differs from the others. With a guide number of 42m, it offers a great deal of power. A diffuser and a reflector disc are integrated in the device and can quickly and easily used. The contact with the camera is flawless. The viewfinder of the camera is e.g. the readiness of the flash appears. If your camera lens with the focal length of sync, so does the Zoomkopf the flash automatically to the focal one.

So you can safely concentrate on the photograph, the rest of the new flash for you - automatically.

Thanks for that last post.

I hadn't noticed that Metz were now doing an Oly Fit. They weren't doing much when I bought my FL-36

I had great results and reliability with Metz guns during the film days and will look into this futher

Andy

Metz has had Olympus-compatible flash units since before the E-System.

I bought mine via ebay from crooked imaging. They offer free postage if you buy straight from them via there website. I got mine for 134 + 8 postage which i thought was a great price. Ive since fixed a broken FL 36 so it see's very little use. The recharge cyle is sub 2 seconds which is fast enough for me and about the same as when i used an FL50
