I see the Taylor Wessing portrait prize winners have been announced and the exhibition has opened at the National Portrait Gallery.

I'd be interested to hear what our resident portrait photography experts feel, but for me once again this personifies corporate sponsorship of art: safe, cosy, cliched, sterile. The minds of no men in grey suits will be disturbed by visiting this exhibition.

I enjoy the actual exhibition, but never agree with selectors for 1st place.

At least it's not a girl with an animal
