Wow!!! Amazing cloud formations, and the OLy Pro gear is just the right equipment for it too as when all the heavens open the gear is weather proof!*yes:D;)

Incredible image. I only wish we had had it here, 500 miles further south!

But in Melbourne we had a spectacle of our own that left Sydney's for DEAD! :D

Wow, in some of those pictures it looked more like a tsunami than cloud formations!

Amazing, almost apocalyptic images there. Thank you Ian for sharing them.

Mind you, I was surprised to see the Quantas 737 flying so close to the cloud formation. Most pilots like to give Cumulonimbi a very wide berth! :)

I notice the official giving chase had a big grin on his face, and seemed to be ready for a tackle! :D

Raymond and Nigel, I think she was taking a forward pass and heading for a try but was tackled before she could make it - she'd be fun in the scrum :D

Apart from that one though Ross, the rest are all pretty poor - both technically and photographically. I guess the majority were taken with "smartphones".

We had an interesting storm here last summer which looked equally apocalyptic:

That really is quite spectacular for the UK Paul. I think if I heard a Trumpet sound I would get my toothbrush and go! :)
