Hi everyone,
Just a quick hello from a new E3 owner, but an old Olympus camera owner!!...
this is now my 6th Oly Digital camera, and I doubt it will be my last;)...

Afraid have not used the E3 in anger yet due to other commitments ect,but am hopeing this weekend...
Am impressed with the build quality of E3,BUT I prefer the old style E1 for look's and ease use ect, certainly prefer the larger LCD on E3.

Well thats all for now please feel free to browse my picture site below any
comments wellcome as long as there not to rude:rolleyes:

Hi Patrick and welcome.

I have had a look at your gallery and you have some very fine images on there. You are also lucky to be in the peak district. Largely unspoilt countryside.

Hope you enjoy your membership. We are a very friendly lot.

Kind regards

Hi Patrick, I love the Wingfield Church shots... did you use HDR on those? they're beautiful!

Congratulations on your new E-3 - I'm over in Sheffield, and Stephen Elliott (also shooting with an E-3) is in Hathersage... hopefully we can get together sometime in the new year!

Kind Regards

Brian

Hi there Patrick

Welcome to the forum. I had a look at your site, very nicely laid out, one of the better SumgMug ones I have seen actually. I especially liked the architecture section but was disappointed when I ventured to the portraits section (I like portraits) and only see one in there..:)

Many thank's Brian,
the Wingfield church shots taken with my old E1,"got to love that camera"..
are not HDR just my use of CS3 & Lightroom!!
I like saturated sort of velvia type treatment's.not every one's cup of tea I
know, but It's for my pleasure only and if someone ellse happens to like them
then thats a"bonus"..:D.

I would love to get together with you all up there in Hathersage as I know
there's plenty of local spots we could shoot from, please give me an answer
& we will arrange a meeting place in future.
All the best
Patrick

Hi MusicMan,
Many thanks for warm welcome to the forum, ref the Lack of portraits I do have them, but they tend to be of family members & though some are quite good or at least I think so,I tend to not post them on smugmug site as I
think there more of a personal nature than Landscapes, flowers, ect.
But all the same many thanks for your kind comments.
All the best

I Ian C.,
many thanks for welcome I'm afraid not had much of a chance to get to grips with new E3 as yet to busy what with Xmas & all...
Just about read the manual & had a" quick fondle"... of the camera, not sure that's the right word to use!!,never mind.
it certainly feels up to the usual Oly standard's,& i'm certain will have many
years of use & pleasure from it.
All the best
Patrick

Yes your correct about it being good picture country, trouble is despite being retired I still don't have anough time for picture taking?
Must try & get out there more often though the weather is pretty crap at present
as i'm sure your aware.
My regards to you & your lovely lady
