There is a very useful chart on the following link for using the EX-25 with various lens. It lists the lens that can be used, focusing, shooting range and
magnifications.

A handy list.

It's amazing what's actually on the various Olympus sites here and in USA, quite a lot of useful information.

Hi all - a question for you about the EX-25; When used in conjunction with the 50mm f2 lens, the maximum magnification is 0.98. In 35mm speak, does this mean just under life size, or is it 2 x life size?

Cheers, Steve.

It means that the image on the sensor is very very nearly life-size. An object 18x13.5mm would almost fill the frame.

If you were to enlarge the sensor image to the size of a 35mm frame (24x36mm) then it would be nearly 2x life size - except the proportions don't fit, of course.

Is that more clear?
