You'll like it when you can get hold of it Murray, it's great for bigger venue gigs when you're not allowed in front of the stage.

Shameless plug for my recent thread: http://e-group.uk.net/forum/showthread.php?t=37358

I'm looking for it for a wedding- 6th June. What's the chances of getting one before then?

Pretty good I'd say - email us (hire at e-group.uk.net) with the date you wish to receive the lens and the date you would send it back and we'll make a no-obligation reservation for you.

That's certainly a great service for those in the UK. If only Australia had that.

I am also interested in the 40-150 - images I have seen online are great, and I really like my 12-40, but having never had such a large lens, I would like to try the handling first, and also try how the AF works for me. Unfortunately, my local camera shops don't seem to have it. Apart from the E-group hire service, is there any other place to rent this lens in the UK?

Of course, it is always possible to buy and return a lens, but I'd be more comfortable with (and happy to pay for) a rental.

Not sure if you are anywhere near a Jessops or indeed you'd consider them for rentals but they do offer this lens on a rental basis.
