View Full Version : E-3 Locking Up?

My E-3 has locked up a few times - only remedy is to take out the battery and replace.

Only common factor is continuous-shooting mode after the camera has been out of use for a few days (although this morning it happened to me three or four times). Locks up after two or three frames. But it may happen with other settings - I just haven't seen it other than in continuous mode.

I know this was "one of those things" with the E-1 - had it happen to me a few times (I'd say three or four in three years).

Anyone else experiencing similar?

Feeling a bit dubious about E-3 quality control at the moment (this is a replacement body - the first had a display fault).

Did you pressurise the lens release button by accident?

Don't think so - hands and fingers in their usual places (clear of that button).

My first E3 stopped auto-focusing and kept locking up within 10mins after getting it home! I tried all the usual 'fixes' - re-seating the lens, formatting the card and leaving the battery out overnight, with no difference. I got a replacement and so far it seems to be OK!
