View Full Version : EM10 - orange and blue colors displayed in viewfinder

When I use the viewfinder to take a photograph I find orange and blue colors appear - highlights/shadows? I am grappling with setting the menu to my preferences. I find these colors very disconcerting and want rid of them. Excuse my ignorance on this matter but any help would be appreciated*chr

There is a setting to display (or hide) these "blinkies". It's the same on all OMD cameras. I presume you've checked the manual? I'm afraid I cannot point you to the exact page as I no longer own such a camera.

Thanks for responding Stephen. I have never come across "blinkies"! I have perused the manual but cannot find the solution. This was not initially a problem so I have obviously in my ignorance done something to the settings.*chr

Try this link

The Olympus manual, it is agreed, is not the easiest to follow!

Thanks Stephen. Followed the instructions cog j etc unchecked highlight/shadows. Unfortunately the Orange and Blue blinkies remain. I may have missed something in the instruction.:confused:confused:

You'll get there! All of a sudden you'll make some, seemingly unrelated, change and bingo! They're gone! Such are the vagaries of Olympus menus.

Can you cycle the info button?

An alternative is to do a factory reset and start again. That's not an uncommon action when people first start configuring the OMDs, myself included when I had them.

craig1912 is correct, press the info button while viewing and choose a setting that suits you.
