Seeing as the 'official' BLS-1 is rather dear, what clone BLS-1's are considered to be worth buying? I dont mind spending 20 -25 on one if it is decent, I just dont fancy spending 50 or however much the official one is!

Dear Gazza,

When my dear lady bought an E-420, I bought a couple of spare BLS-1 batteries for her from Ebay of all places. They cost me less than 9 delivered for the pair. At less than 4.50 each I was not exactly expecting much but I have to say they have done really well and have given no problems at all.

Here is a Ebay link that offers the same type of deal.

How well do they last compared the official BLS-1?

Dear Gazza,

So far we have not really noticed any difference, but she has not really used the E-420 a lot, so it is early days.

Cheers
