OK, here's another I am sure I could have googled for - and will, but still, it's worth having a reference on here if anyone has one already.

I am wondering what the minimum (not necessarily optimum) resolutions are for specific print sizes - i.e. where there will be minimal degradation of the printed copy image. So, what's the minimum pixel resolution say for a 10"x8" print... and others.

Is there a table somewhere...?

As I use photobox quite a lot, they have a quality guide on their website.

http://www.photobox.co.uk/quality.html

They recon that anyone over 1600x? is OK. I normally resize my 6x4 to about 1600 and anything larger I normally use the full size.

BTW, I am not associated with photobox.

Many thanks John, that guide was exactly what I was after. My wife took some shots with her Sony and wants some crops but I wasn't sure if they'd be enough pixels to print at the size they wanted.

Cheers.
