Hi

I think I read on here somewhere that some uses a Nikon SB 24 on their E- series camera?

Am I correct and is it just a case of using the said E-system to trigger the falsh while using the flashgun in Manual mode?

And I suppose that if it is ok for that camera then it should be ok fo rthe E3?

Thanks in advance

I use the SB28 on my E400 and E510.

The SB24 should be ok, but it might be best to check the voltage on the centre pin of the flash before you try it. On the SB28 it is 4 to 6 volts, so its OK. If you measure much above 10 volts I would start to get worried..

For outdoor use I set the camera to Aperture priority and the flash to Auto. Set the flash f stop to match the lens.

For indoor use I set the camera to manual and use 1/50th then match the f stop from lens to flash.

Hope this helps

Pete
