My e620 firmware is, body & lens 1.0. Although when I connected the camera through the PC it said there is an update available, on the olympus web site there is no mention of this. Maybe it's because the camera is old.
Is it worth trying to run the update or not. Any pro or cons, Or is it just not worth it ?

Make sure the battery is fully charged and go for it, follow the instructions and don't touch anything until you see the OK message.

Thank you. I will do it when I'm over in England in a couple of weeks, reliable internet is something we don't have here, but I will defiantly take the camera with me on my next trip.

As far as I am aware the E620 has never had a firmware update. We all stand and fall on version 1.0 :)

What lens is attached. If it is the 14-42 (& 40-150) then that firmware is up to 1.3 & that is what it is possibly offering to update.

Was just about to try updating but PC is unstable, so will have to wait a couple of weeks.
Pity I can't connect through my ipad .
If I can remember, I think it was when I was installing the Olympus software it asked to check for camera updates. Don't think I actually did.
Cheers.
