Can you insert the url into the message to get the photo to come up with the text, not with the small photo that you have to open? If not, how do you do this?

Thanks
Dan

Are you talking about here on the forum or via a webpage or email?

For a web page (HTML) you can use

<img src="location/filename.jpg" alt="your text">

For this forum you can either upload an image to your gallery and then use the My Pics option to add image. You can select the image size.

If you have an image hosted elsewhere you can just enter the URL. e.g.

At the risk of appearing dumb I have just found the My Pics option on the "reply to thread" thanks to your post, otherwise I have been typing these in manually.

A suggestion - perhaps a slightly higher profile on the page than being tucked under the smilies? or perhaps a larger title.

Otherwise an excellent way of getting new members to communicate with the wider world.

Dear Dan,

Ian posted a rather nice tutorial on the subject which helped me a lot, here is the link

I hope this helps you as much as it did me.

Cheers

So I was able to put photo's into my gallery. I checked out all the buttons available, (post comment, etc...) and did not see a delete button. Is one available that I'm just not seeing?

Thanks
Dan

One of them is an Edit button.
Amongst other things, you can delete the image. "Careful, when its gone, its gone..."

Hi Danny

Here's another tutorial that will assist in getting your images in posts...
