Traumatic for the owner but very interesting to see inside the lens. Didn't realise there was so much electronic circuitry in a lens. Strange it broke so easily though.

It makes you wonder how photographers ever got any shots when they had to focus manually, set the aperture on the lens and know how to support a camera.

Good news - it's not just the Olympus 12-40mm Pro lens that suffers such a fate - what looks to be a Canon 1D X with a 16-35mm F/2.8 zoom lens gets the boot!
