I have just completed the purchase of the Bigma from Glynnbach. A very smooth transaction. The lens is in excellent condition and was shipped within 24 hours. First class service. The usual very high standard from members of this forum. Thank you Glynnbach.*yes

Thanks Chevvy. I am looking forward to the weekend. I am not far from an estuary - lots of birds. However, I am aware that craft and technique are key factors with this type of photography. I will submit for constructive criticism:)

Take a tripod and muscle building stimulants. But most important enjoy!

Alternatively consider using a monopod to offload the strain on the arms.

Looking forward for some pictures.

Thanks Tordan. I think it will take sometime if ever before I reach your level of expertise, commitment and quality of photograph. There are lots of wintering birds in the estuary close to my home so I will give the Bigma a try at the weekend. I just hope the weather is kind to me.*chr
