Hello All,

I have an e-600 and have been trying to be able to view my RAW files on my tablet. I don't want to download them on to the tablet, i just want to connect the camera via USB cable and just view the images.

Hope someone can help.

I suppose you have an Android tablet?
Then maybe Photo Mate (http://www.photo-mate.com/) is what you are looking for?

I was directed to Photo Mate from this post on DP Review:http://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3198286

Thanks for responding.
I have tried a lot of different apps so far with no luck, Photo Mate looks like what i want but is pretty expensive to find that it doesn't work. Oh and yes it is an Android tablet.

Have you tried RawDroid? It's free:

Noticed the free version of RawDroid puts watermarks on your images - I don't remember it doing that but it was a long time ago when I last used it.

Thanks Ian,

I have been trying with RawDroid and others. I think the problem I have is trying to do this on a Nexus 7. By the looks of it I would have to "Root" it. I am looking for ways to do this right now. If i decide to do this "wish me luck"

All done, i did have to "Root" it. I can now view the RAW files straight from my E-600, with out having to download them. Looking forward to winning the lottery so i can do this plus control my camera remotely and wirelesly. I wish i could stop daydreaming.

Why do you need to root your Nexus 7? Is it the old or new version, incidentally?

Its the old version, but i think it will also apply to the newer one also. Mounting is disabled by default I found there were Apps so you could read Memory sticks etc, but i could not get RawDroid or any of the other apps to work. I could view thumbnails of the images on the card but couldn't open them to view full screen or to pinch and zoom. Since rooting Rawdroid worked first time.
