A great article explaining the evolution from 4/3 to m4/3 very clearly. That photo of the tree reflected in the water is stunning. I can't stop looking at it.

The four thirds support feels adequate, but not entirely perfect or native. It's certainly good enough to make the E-M1 feel like a worthy upgrade over the E-520 that I used before. Even when the E-520 was new, it was pretty obvious that the sensor technology was slightly behind what APS-C was able to offer. Soon after that, the other manufacturers took a huge leap forward in sensitivity, but Olympus kept taking baby steps.

I use the Zuiko 12-60mm and and Zuiko 70-300mm lenses with the MMF adapter. Here's a 300 mm E-M1 photo of a commonly seen daylit target:
