I think I may have read somewhere that it is ?

The 40-150 gives 5.6 at 150mm and the 70-300 give 4-5.6 across the range but what is the fastest aperture at 150mm ?

If it is indeed faster at 150mm then surely it would make a good replacement (or at least an addition) apart from the fact that one would lose the 40-70 range ?

I get f4.5 at 150mm

It is a really good lens and so much more versatile than the 40-150. I don't think you will miss the difference.

Just take a few steps backwaaaarrrrrdddssssss.....

yes

yes

and add the 50/2 to fill both the focal length gap, real close work and a lot faster (portraits etc)

external flash

job done unless you add the 9-18 as well...............

it will become a quite common set-up I believe

I should get a 50-200 while you are at it. Cracking lens, and works well with EC14
