All the talk on the E3 section about instructions and DVDs got me thinking if the E510 ever had such a luxury? I know there was a DVD released in the USA named 'Jumpstart Guide to the Olympus Evolt E510' but I am not aware anything was or is availble in the UK, Does anybody have any information on a UK DVD?

I watched the dvd that came with my e510 yesterday. There's quite a good feature with a German photographer (can't remember his name - bald with a moustache!) talking about Four Thirds, and why he likes it. The bulk of the dvd is a quick start walkthrough of the main features; then I think there's some slightly more in depth bits - I haven't watched them yet.

Not a DVD, but in my opinion one of the best resources on uderstanding the menu's on the E510 (and the E500) is Andrzej Wrotniak's site

E510 = http://www.wrotniak.net/photo/oly-e/e510-rev.html
E500 = http://www.wrotniak.net/photo/oly-e/e500-rev.html

He's much clearer on the EFFECT of making a change than the olympus manuals which typically just tells you the options available

Thanks for your thoughts chaps, I did not get a DVD with my E510:confused: I even went into my loft to find the box to double check:(

I have been a fan of the Wrotniak site now for quite a while, it was following his advice that enabled me to set up the cam when I first bought it, I agree that it is an invaluable resource.

Have a great weekend:)

I got one with the E510 single lens kit in early November. Wonder why it seems so erratic? Mind you, I haven't watched it yet - perhaps instead of the Queen's speech on the 25th?

Umm it's puzzling why some do and some don't, I wonder if we can expect a comment from Olympus on this:confused:

Hi Ian do you have any contacts which may be able to help with this one?:)

Capt D, thanks for the PM, I have replied.

Thanks everyone.:)
