As some of you may have seen in the Essex Balloon Festival Post, I have suggested a alternative event closeby in Cressing (between Braintree and Witham).

The Fayre is being held this weekend (Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September).

It is my intention to be there from 9:45am on the Saturday and everyone is more than welcome to attend. Further details can be found at the link below.

Regards

Simon

(p.s. the BBC are currently saying the weather will be dry!)

Planning to meet up in front of the tea rooms (next to the car park) at 9:45am.

If you send me a private email through the Olympus Safari website I'll email you back my contact details, just in case you get delayed.

Hi Simon,

thanks for hosting this event - as I mentioned on the other thread, for folks who have yet to join the Safari Group, the meeting point and details are here :

Google Map Meeting Point (http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&oe=UTF8&msa=0&msid=106478543555192071681.000451a5a3d65746758d7&ll=51.840444,0.6106&spn=0.045659,0.131493&z=14)

I'm really looking forward to joining everyone there, and will be bringing the 14-35mm f2, the 35-100mm f2 and Limited Edition E-System photographer's vests for all of our new Safari Group members attending.

Kind Regards

Brian

That Real Ale must have been strong, I've seen double before but this is ridiculous...

Looks like a fun day, it's a long time since I went to anything similar, on this evidence I may have to revisit these events next year. Nice action shots.

Many thanks to Simon (The Saint) for organising the meet up. And the weather! An excellent day!

Just the minor detail of processing the images... I've only just started on last month's Kensal Green trip!

Well I was a little concerned on the weather front in the morning, but it couldn't have worked out better (still applying the aftersun here).

Thanks to everyone to who attended for making such a good day out.

No - the thanks go to you Simon, for drawing it to our attention with the little map entry and links.

Simon,

Thanks for setting this meeting up, I'm sorry I didn't really get to chat with as many of you as I'd have liked (had the wife & the outlaws with me and had to get off early to another family do)

Simon, thank you so much for proposing this event - a super success! We really gave that 35-100mm f2 a workout :)

Just to let everyone know, our full Safari Group report is ready for download, we gathered images and impressions from everyone - some great insights to technique and below are some of my images too.
