View Full Version : HELP! Sorry if this asked before - wireless TTL flash control?

3rd September 2013, 09:43 PM
As I said in the tile, sorry if this is an old question, but does anyone know if there's a wireless (radio trigger) solution for Oly which retains TTL control? I recently saw these triggers http://www.aokatec.com/AK-TTL.html are now advertised as supporting Olympus - has anyone tried them out at all? I've emailed the manufacturers and if I hear back I'll update the post, but just though I'd check with you all first.

Interesting! It looks like they take the optical RC flash control system and extend its range via radio Tx/Rx

The use of Olympus FLXX-R guns in TTL mode is useful but personally I prefer to do it all manually with simple Radio Tx/Rx. However the ability to RC at a distance and around corners can be very useful.

Please let us know what answer you get from them.

I use cheap (relatively) nikon flashes and radiopopper jrx transmitters and receivers. You can manually control the flash power from the camera. No ttl though, but the, I bought most of my flashes for 60 each.

Nothing back from them so far, maybe the message got lost in translation. I'll keep you posted if I hear anything.

It looks like these are based on the same tech as the RadioPopper Px series, so please can I open this question up to see if Nyone has had success with those kinds of triggers either?

Well another Google search found this thread http://www.flickr.com/groups/strobist/discuss/72157631523525204/ on Flickr which shows it does work *chr
