Was out today as the rain eased for a walk in two of our local parks with Heather. In the second park, when Heather was playing on the swings... she started talking to two girls who were out with their Mum walking their dog.

I started chatting to the Mum who was very pleasant, and she asked if I was a photographer (d'oh! I had two cameras hanging around my neck..:) ) and out of the blue she asked would I mind taking some candids of her kids playing with Heather.

So, with her permission given, I clicked away and came up with a few nice'ish ones - well... for ad-hoc unpreparedness anyway.

Have to say, the colour rendition on the E-3 is superb, very little PP work in LR or PS. I am loving this camera!

Here's a few: first three of strangers kids, last one of my daughter Heather. C&C welcome!

And a final one of Heather that I liked - from an unusual angle...

I trust you will send some to the girls mum.

Hey Peter

Thanks so much for the lovely comments, they are very much appreciated thank you. I do so love taking portrait pictures, and children make very good models with their unapprehensive and open manner. The girl in the first two shots in this thread was loving every minute of having her photo taken and it was easy also to spot that Mum was extatic that her daughter was enjoying it so much.

I discussed with the girls Mum about placing a gallery on my site and have already emailed her about it. :) As I was already out taking pics i said she could have the photo's on there, but if she wanted me to do a protrait sitting for her daughters that she could contact me any time. She asked for my card and was visibly delighted.

Very unusual the whole thing, but very, very enjoyable I must say.

The light was good too and little sign of rain. All helped with the skin tones which are perfect. I'm envious of your abilities and hope you get a business going.

I took 78 pictures in the rain of mud, puddles and wet leaves. Perhaps I should raise my sights to people. I'll post a few wet leaves later!

Peter:)
