Hi Guys,

Is there any advantage to registering my lenses to my E620 camera body and what would be the point of doing this?

Many Thanks,

Thomas.

Others are likely to add other reasons, but the one that springs to mind is if you change the AF focus.

Yes - the only reason I can think of is so that calibrated AF or find adjustment to AF in order to fix front or back focus issues can be linked to a given lens.

Good evening all,

Please forgive my ignorance, but I have never heard of this before.
Is it something that should be done with your lens and bodies.
If so how is it done.

You will find the information on page 104 of the camera manual.

The facility is set up via the "cogs I" "Utility" menu on the camera.

Really only necessary if you have a lens which for some reason focuses behind (back focus) or in front of (front focus) the point determined by the camera Auto Focus.
