Just had a phone call from a tea shop gallery that has had four of my pictures on display for a while. Apparently they have sold three, so could I pop in to collect my money and take some replacement pictures for the wall! I wasn't expecting that! :D

People can tell you they like your photos all day long but when someone is willing to pay cash money for your work then you know for sure they really like it. Well done!

Thanks guys, must admit it has given me a lift at the end of a week when I've started to feel a little jaded again despite the good weather. :)

Thanks Cliff, to be honest the pictures have been there so long I've forgotten what they were, but it's probable that they did feature in the book. :)

John whenever you start to feel down just think of those people who paid cash to look at your shots. It would definitely give me a boost.

As someone with one of your pics hanging in my home those customers must have discerning taste. Congratulations, long may it continue. Jim

What excellent news John, very well deserved and I am delighted for you. Perhaps you could try and get you pics in a few more venues, your work is very saleable. *chr*chr

Thanks Shirley. I have been invited to display my pictures in a village hall that has just re-opened following refurbishment, so that may be an opportunity. I'm gradually reducing the stock that I had printed for my exhibition last year, but I won't have any more printed because I cannot afford to have money tied up in stock which sells slowly or may not sell at all.

I know from working one day a week in the Dunmow gallery that sales in general are very depressed at the moment, we've had some excellent work which just doesn't sell like it used to. With the economic climate as it is I cannot forsee an improvement any time soon. From my point of view the occasional sale from existing stock is a very welcome bonus!
