Hello all........well i've finally bought my camera, now i have to learn to use it which is fun (photographing just about everything at the moment), seeing what happens if I do this or this or this etc?
I've been viewing this site for a while admiring some of the work submitted by the members, mine will appear one day I'm sure.
The camera is a e-510 by the way.
I've been looking for a camera club locally, without much (any) success.
Surely there must be one !!!!!!!
i'll keep looking :)

Your sure to enjoy using your lovely new camera :)

Here's a list of camera clubs in Yorkshire http://my-yorkshire.co.uk/organisations/camera-clubs.html I don't know if it contains all of them, but it might be useful for you

Hey there fw, welcome to e-group, we're glad to have you on board. The best advise I can offer is easy really... and it is that the best way you'll learn about photography and what this button does, and what that button does etc... is to get out there and use the camera. Don't be conservative with the use of the trigger, fire away and see what you get; if you don't like what you see simply delete the image!

Using the E-510 is a joy, I am sure you'll soon be posting your images for us all to see.

Go for it.

Welcome. I also have an E510, its a fabulous camera. As Musicman said just keep pressing that button, I've just found out I have taken over 10000 images since Christmas, my problem is that I find it difficult to delete images so, as I shoot in RAW, my hard drive is nearly full:cool:
You will find this, and the sister four thirds site, one of the friendliest you could wish for. If you want it you can get very helpful critique on your work or you can just post your images for us all to enjoy - nobody will be condescending or do you down. I'm quite embarrassed by some of the pictures I uploaded early on...but hey ho thats how you learn and get better.:D - In my case some may be wondering when that will happen*yes -

Anyway welcome, jump in, join in and enjoy.
