Just found this info.
Comet C/2011 L4 (PANSTARRS) could be very bright, it will be low in the West and heading north, passing close to the Andromeda Galaxy in early April.
There could be good photo opportunities on March 12 & 13.
Best to Google for more info.

Hi All,
Don't forget this once in a lifetime event.
Comet PANSTARRS is passing across the sky tonight and tomorrow when it could be at its brightest. It will also be visible throughout April.
Unfortunately for us in the North West, today being an exceptionally bright sunny and clear blue sky has done just what you would expect. It's now thick cloud and doesn't look like there will be a break.

Here's a SITE (http://earthsky.org/space/favorite-photos-of-comet-panstarrs) that shows some good photos.

Let's hope one of our members can emulate.
Best of luck,
Sailor

I posted a similar heads-up on this very same subject. Been out every night over the last week. Sorry to say, up until now, due to a blanket of thick low cloud, I have yet to see the moon never mind the comet. :(

There is another comet flypast later in the year- Comet Ison, due late November. Hopefully, the weather will be much kinder when it happens.

Waited in vain last night for the comet. There was a band of cloud that straddled its position, (according to the internet image), so the toggers who stood alongside me all went home without a shot.
Not to worry there'll be another along in November.

Here's the position and cloud formation that prevented a view, it was static until 7.45pm when I packed my stuff with the grand-kids and a dog into the car and headed home.:)
