Oh just remembered you will need a charger as they do not charge in the Olympus charger :(

There are some decoded batteries beginning to become available which should work in the Olympus charger. I would be tempted if I did not have four ExPro ones with their own (needed) charger. AliExpress say they ship to the UK.

I find the business of BLN1 alternatives rather confusing.

I bought three of the Hahnel ones because they were supposedly compatible with the Oly charger. Their performance has been disapointing and they'll shortly be heading for the recycling bin. Part of the problem may be that their declared rating is somewhere between 1020 and 1170 mAH whereas the original is 1220. Feedback on Amazon tends to support my experience.

Following advice on the forum I then bought an Expro. It's 1220mAH which is right. However it wsn't badged Expro and looks identical in every way to the BestDeal battery which is 3.86 cheaper on Amazon. I then bought a further two which are badged Expro but in every other respect the same in appearance as the BestDeal. I've queried that with the vendor and await a reply. I've not used them enough to know how well they last.

There are various other offerings on Amazon, some with very low power ratings and a range of voltages between 7.2 and 7.6. Those few that have a user feedback tend to comment that life is shorter than the OEM.

I wonder if anyone has expereince of these please? In theory they should give stunning life.
Henweit claim 1600mAH for 4.92.
BTBA claim 1999mAH for 6.59.
DSTE claim 1450mAH at 29.91 for three batteries and a charger. Not compatible with the Oly charger.
