Hi,

I have notice that the Sigma 19mm & 30mm have been reduced in price and was wondering are they any good
So if any of you out there are using them what are they like? :D

Yes. I have both, the 19mm seems sharper. Be aware of the start up delay while the lens powers up. I paid full price for mine and thought it was a deal

Just a sample of the 19 on an E-PL5 at F2.8. Only one I have taken this year wide open.

That's sharp enough for me. I don't want to see what the 20mm would do because then I would probably want it.

Here is one with the Sigma 30mm at f2.8 taken on the panny g3. I think it is pretty well made as it feels very solid.

Sigma are bringing out two replacements for the 30 and 19 hence the cheaper price at the moment I guess. Both lens have been updated giving better sharpness, colour and contrast and with metal bodies.

And they're also introducing a 60mm f2.8 prime. All details at:

Sigma m4/3rds quality control seems to have leapfrogged Panasonic's lens department, don't knock it.

So you're saying Sigma quality control is up to Canon levels?

Nice to have a case and hood included though, I did feel robbed after forking out for my 75 f1.8 Oly and then having to buy a hood for it and use a spare Panny bag to put it in.
Maybe all lenses should be supplied the way Sigma bundles theirs.*shrug

Is the new version of the 19mm available yet? the reviews of the old one look good so a better one must be superb.

If you can find an old old get it. It will be less and from my understanding when I talked to the Sigma rep at Focus the new one has only cosmetic changes. So the whole front part of the lens is the focus ring, I don't think that will help with manual focus & hand holding.
