I am not one of those people who is obsessed with how cool their gear looks but I am idly curious why Olympus does not pair the silver finish 12-50 lens with the silver OM-D body. it is only that some of the far east online retailers offer the silver lens on its own that I even know of its existence. must be a home market item but even gray import silver body kits have the black lens. strange:confused:

There was a thread on this some while back, which I cannot now find. Mark Thackara (Olympus) contributed.

Must admit, I am increasingly preferring a silver lens with the silver body.

Got my kit from Park Cameras, I was lucky and the silver lens came in the box, looks like someone made a mistake and put the wrong lens back in the box ... at the time I was unaware that the silver lens was meant to be separate purchase.

I seem to recall that, when I was asked by SRS what colour I wanted, I was given the choice of body AND lens. At the time, I chose the black lens. Mind you, I've not used the lens since a few days after I got it.
