View Full Version : Sailing the Cyclades Islands

I have just returned from cruising the Greek Cyclades Islands. We had a wonderful time in Greece with no sign of the financial woes in the Islands but Athens is very different with many, many shops closed up and boarded.

The people are still very friendly to tourists with the major tourist venues all open for business. They really need visitors right now and there is no personal safety issues, just use common sense and stay away from any pre-publicised demonstrations as missiles get thrown and police react with tear gas.

So how did we get around? Take a look at our little boat. Very comfortable, superb food and most importantly a well stocked bar!

Another, this time sailing this 197' long motor sailor, 31 guests 15 crew including kitchen serving and bar staff.

All images with the 12-50 lens, I took the Pana 100-300 but only used it for less than 5% of all my images.

That looks an idyllic way to spend a holiday, Dave. Given that you used the 100mm-300mm so little, next time do you think you will be tempted to travel ultra light with just the 12-50mm?

I'd love to read more about the cruise and see some more pictures. :)
