Just spotted this new item from Simply Electronics. I've no links with them and don't have any knowledge of them as a seller.
Link below if it works.

It always amuses me when they state the item location as 'London,' and the delivery time 16-17 days..... why would I possibly think it wasn't actually in the UK? :)

Still a good price.

I bought a Panasonic 25mm from them a while ago, and the service was surprisingly good. 2 days from HK to Edinburgh!

Isn't GBP 781 closer to what the camera/kit was sold in the USA when it first came out?

Some dodgy reports about Simply Electronics if you search the web, but as stated above some have no problems. How is waranty affected as you are not buying UK stock?
Have been tempted myself, but resisted as the savings are not worth the hassle if anything does go wrong.

Must say I was very tempted by this offer, over 200 cheaper than my local Camera World. But I can always take it back to Camera wWorld if it conkes out, always assuming that Camera World hasn't gone the way of Jacobs!

I think you would be stuck with the generic Olympus 1 year worldwide warranty.

FWIW Simply Electronics do pay the VATand import duties up front. What you see is what you pay.

As I stated in a different post, when I bought my lens from them it was because a) they were the only people who could supply, and b) I only checked their feedback AFTER I'd ordered. I was worried, but my purchase came out totally trouble free. I speak as I find.

I won't ever use them to buy from ever again. I bought a lens as it was "in stock" I paid for it then got an email saying it was out of stock and would be 21 days or more for delivery, so cancelled. It took over 2 months for my refund to be made!

Based on their reputation, you're not alone. I guess I got lucky - or else they've improved since you bought?

Not sure if I would use them again, though *ohwell

I have used them, I was fully aware the products aware not in the UK - I don't think they hide that fact. If you check delivery with them first I find them very honest with great prices.
I'd also add that they have a Quality Management Certification to ISO9001 quality standard which means they are subject to independent audit - this as an accredited certification by UKAS - United Kingdom Accreditation Service - not many retailers can claim that.
The warranty is normally 1 year...which they are up-fornt about.
I have no affiliation to them but they do a great service to us consumers in challenging the daft mark ups the others make us absorb for our kit in the UK.
They have a thumbs up from me!
