I have two XZ-1s, maybe I can put them together to double the size ;-)

I haven't heard anything.

The new Lumix LX7 (http://dpnow.com/8778.html) earlier this week has a slightly smaller sensor but a faster f/1.4 lens.

My wish list for the XZ-1 replacement is an extension of the wide angle to 24mm equivalent. 100mm would be fine for the longest end of the zoom, or to keep it 4x 96mm equivalent.

Upgrade to Accessory Port 2 as well.

The ideal Fields of View for Landscape to Portrait in a pocketable unit, really sounds good.

An IR Remote would come in handy for the low light, long exposures.

The vf-3 works perfectly well on the XZ-1, doesn't that mean it already has an Accessory 2 port?

Accessory Port 2 specific peripherals include the PenPal Bluetooth adapter. EVFs are fine on the standard port.
