I just got some news that there is NOW a vertcial grip available for the E510 and E520. It has a remote for the Live View function on the two cameras. The above link will get you there.

NICE!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

I have looked at this and it looks great; has anyone any experience of their products that they can share?

Check this out and don't miss the video WOLVES made - you will find the link to his 'youtube vid' on the first page from memory. It is the first model ownuser made and not the latest smart looking one.

I may have been unlucky but ordered a remote cable from them for my E3. The holes in the connector piece were far too small, and as I noticed too late pushed the pins into the camera. Fortunately Olympus repaired the camera and Ownuser refunded the money.

Hi Yorkie,

Nice one..

Can't wait to see the review and some shots of it fitted. This is something I've toyed with but I really didn't like the look of the old grip, I will be very interested in seeing it fitted to the camera.

Cheers
G

I saw this grip a few days ago when meeting some local Olympus Club members in Manila. It's a new Mark 2 OwnUser design and looks quite neat and more refined than the original one -well worth investigating.

Am I right in thinking the only control duplicated is the shutter button?

I was sceptical about grips until I got an HLD2. I suppose I should have realised Pros wouldn't burden themselves unnecessarily.

Hi All

I recieved a box in the post on the 26th June, in it is one nice new grip. First thoughts are that it is well built and much nicer to look at than the old style unit.

Will be taking it on the Safari BBQ this weekend for a play and will do a more dertaile review in the next week or so. I even hope to get to try the unit with the E520.

Many thanks,
