I haven't posted any pictures here for ages, for all sorts of reasons, in fact photography has been a bit sparse in the last year or so. However I have acquired an OM-D and thought these might be of interest.

It's barely stopped raining since I had it so both are taken indoors!

St John the Baptist church, Bristol - otherwise known as "the church on the arch".
12-50mm kit lens. ISO 1600, 1/60 second at f/3.5 hand held, JPEG. Almost the first serious picture I took with the camera.

Crispin
12-50mm kit lens. ISO 1600, 1/15 second at f/6 hand held. Raw file processed in Lightroom 4.1 RC2. Just messing about really but I was pleased with this one.

I'm more than happy with the results so far!:)

The obligatory cat. Yes, both nice images. That 12-50 lens isn't too bad, is it?

Well, he just sat there asking to be photographed :)

The camera and kit lens seem to complement each other very well.

Nice cat shot....I like the 12-50mm so far anyway.
Shame its not faster...thats what lets it down...but still very useful.

Thanks Brian, Crispin would be pleased! The rendition of the fur in the original is excellent.

As you say, it's a pity the 12-50 isn't faster but with the quality at 1600 ISO and the very effective image stabilisation it's not as big an issue as it might have been.

I have a 14mm Panny prime that I got from a friend for a very good price, but have not done much with it yet. I hope to pick up one or two more primes eventually, plus maybe the 70-300...
