I was looking on the Olympus UK website to see if any other m4/3 lenses besides the new 12-50 were splashproof, and I noticed that whilst the banner for the E-M5 referred to it as being dust & splashproof, I couldn't find anything which indicated that the lens was as well. I'm not suggesting that it isn't, but just curious why nothing is made of this feature. They do refer to this feature in the introductory blurbs for the Pro and top Pro 4/3 lenses.

Are any of the other m4/3 lenses dust and splashproof, or is the 12-50 the first one? I feel I should know, but the memory chips are beginning to fail :)

It's the only one at the moment, apart from the new MMF-3 (the mFT-FT adaptor), so you an use the weatherproof FT lenses on it.
The earlier MMF-1 & 2, weren't splashproof; neither is the Panasonic equivalent.

Thanks Bill, I thought that was the case.
