I was looking at the comparative prices of the Olympus 75-300 and Panasonic 100-300 m43 zooms, trying to work out why the Olympus is so much more expensive, when I noticed that Panasonic are currently offering a 50 cashback on their lens.

The cheapest price for the Olympus zoom seems to be 589 from SRS, whereas the Panasonic is 407 from Amazon. With a 50 cashback, at 357, it is almost affordable! Why is there such a big price difference between the two lenses, especially as the Panasonic incorporates image stabilisation?
