I'm planning to buy a second-hand m43 Panasonic 14~140mm F4.5-5.8. There seem to be 2 varieties of this lens which go by the names:-

Panasonic 14~140mm F4.5-5.8 OIS HD
Panasonic 14~140mm F4.5-5.8 Lumix G
What, if anything is the difference between these varieties, and which type has the best IQ?

PS (I'm not planning to use the lens for video photography)

Thanks in anticipation

As far as I'm aware, it's the same lens, whose Sunday name is Panasonic 14-140mm f/4-5.8 ASPH MEGA OIS LUMIX G VARIO HD.

I don't think there is any difference but I will ask my Panasonic contact in Japan.

Stephen,
Thanks - It would be dangerous to try and say that quickly if one had loose dentures:)

Ian,
Thanks

My contact at Panasonic in Japan has confirmed that there is no difference in the lens itself, just the model branding.
