Anybody know anywhere that rents Oly lenses out, pref in East Midlands? I want to have a go with the 8mm fisheye but can't afford it atm and even if I could I'd want to have a play to see if I could justify the expense of what is a somewhat specialist lens. Cheers.

I'm not sure if this is of some help.

Looks like a video camera hire outfit rather than stills.

Don't know if Calumet do any Olympus gear:

I noted this on the site and thought if the camera was not being rented they might let you hire the lenses.

Calumet used to! But don't any more. Though they only ever had the E1 and 14-54 I think. No real use. If anyone knows any Olympus dealer with rental kit or dedicated hire company please please share! I too would like to hire the 8mm for a few days, and the ability to hire the longer pro lenses would be very useful too. I just can't justify the cost to buy for a couple of weekends a year, but it is also very hard to do without on those odd occasions.
All the best,
Phil

Ooh! I might just email them about the 300mm to see if they hire it alone and how much.
Cheers Barr1e :)

I wonder if this could be a viable business proposition? :)

Four Thirds hire!

Lets hope someone thinks it is! I rekon that there is a significant market for it as lenses only, and more if bodies are included. I would set it up in my spare time but sadly don't have the cash around to aquire any of the lenses really needed... I think anyone with about £10,000 could do it... although of course you could start small and build up to the full collection ;)

Fancy it Ian? I know you have the 90-250 and probably more. Perhaps you could get Oly to team up with you to offer this!
