You have this already on your Mac! iPhoto, iDVD and iMovie.

Has anyone got any suggestions for us unfortunates ;) with Windows?

I watched an attempt at a slideshow on DVD made by a friend and it was pretty dire. Not sure what software she used...

two main choices - photodex proshow gold (or proshow producer) and pictures to exe.

http://www.photodex.com/

http://www.wnsoft.com/

Pictures to exe is porbably the most capable, but proshow is a little easier to use.

If on the mac the iApps don't do enough, look at the professional versions from Apple. But I'd give iDVD a go first, it's surprisingly good.

I have found FotoMagico by Boinx software excellent . It has a variety of options for presentation and output as well as allowing you to set down a sound track
