Hi Peter, you can buy new on ebay for 260.00 so they should say yes, if you do get it be a bit careful getting the hood off and on or you can damage the gears, there was a good tip on this forum telling you to mount the lens to the body and with the front cap still on push back the on the front cap with the body on your chest to stop the lens extending and then twist off the hood, turn and remount for use, hope you get one Best Regards Cliff *chr

If you don't get it you could try this.
Ian Kerr (Kerso) has an eBay shop called Flash Camera. If you deal with him off eBay he will normally quote a slightly lower price.

It is a nice lens - and I use all the time for birding sometimes with an EC14.

I agree with cliff. Damaged the gears twice - both times fixed by Olly at no charge even the second one time was out of warranty.

Got that tip from here and have been using it ever since.

Pays to pay attention.

Thanks for the tips and advice everyone....may go for a new one, you know at least that it will be untouched..

Will keep my eyes open for an EC14 after that (when the bank balance recovers)

Most of the cheap new examples on eBay are in the Far East, I wouldn't.
