Differant approach showing just part. for what its worth I rather like the picture.

I like it too.I think the detail/ close-up approach gives it an unusual abstract quality.

Hi Shirley,

I like it, it has a nice strong graphic feel to it...

Thanks for sharing.

Kind Regards

Strong use of shapes and complementary colours in an almost abstract composition that is cleverly anchored to reality by the subtle inclusion of the leaf tip. Top notch image.

colours complement each other. Nice image.:)

Nice image - I'd be inclined to lose the leaf and almost all of the stalk, this would strenghten the primary shape, as it is the curve of the leaf distracts a bit from the opening shape.

(But I see my 'reading' differs from other equally/more valid comments)

Like it anyway

Very nice but i agree with Nick that the leaf is a distraction and takes away from the flow of the image.:)

I also agree about the leaf but the overall image is a cracking one, and a nice change from the cliched shots of a flowers. Having said that, if the image is rotated 90 degress counter clockwise I think the leaf actually works really well in the photograph.
