... teleconverter on EBay.

I got it for 225 + postage, which is the limit I would pay for a secondhand one. Fingers crossed it is as described and it all goes through OK.

I'm REALLY looking forward to putting it on the 50-200mm!

The same seller also had a EX-25 extension tube which I did put a fairly low bid on, and then changed my mind - someone outbid me fortunately.

I've done quite well on EBay over the years - the E-1 and my three lenses were all bought there.

Good for you. I hope it doesn't take too long to arrive.

Hope It all goes through ok.I have the EC14 on the 50-200 nearly all the time and cannot see any degradation of my pictures.

Me too with the 70-300mm most of the time; the Puffin shots I took yesterday all had the EC14 attached.

I think the 50-200mm plus 1.4 is a dream ticket. You should get some really nice shots. There'll be lots of envious people at that price. Mine cost 290 new.

My EC14 lives on my 50-200mm. It's so good I just think of it as part of the lens.

Congrats! You'll love it.

I was suspicious given bad experiences with 2x converters on 35mm (even Olympus's own 2x-A). The EC-14 is in a different league. Works fine with every lens I've tried it with (including the Sigma 55-200 and 135-400). Got mine on eBay too, from a very nice man in the USA.

Just occurred to me to try it on my Tamron SP 500mm. Hmm... that might be interesting.

It works great on the 50-200. I got mine on Ebay also - for £150 on a buy-now!

I use my EC-14 with my 50-200mm as well, and darned good it is too!

I also use it pretty successfully with my 50mm macro - for those times when I want to capture an insect, but don't want to stand half way down the garden with the 50-200mm to catch it (err, not that I do that too often :o:o).

You'll find it one of the most useful (and used) bits of kit you can get. Enjoy!!
