Drumming up interest prior to a new launch perhaps? I wonder if it means the much rumoured and expected E-520 is about to land. Or perhaps something else?
Does this mean the London meet will be competing with Manchester for possible loaner lenses? I hope there's enough to go around!

This could be the case, unfortunately, but only for some of the lenses we had last week. I've raised this with Olympus so I'm hoping we can sort something out in advance.

Not on my list here, I'm afraid. There is one in June at The Strand, London, on 6th June.

Just a reminder that there is a Norwich London Camera Exchange (LCE) day tomorrow, ideal for handling the latest E-Series kit if you are local to Norwich.

Hi Yorkie,

we have been planning our next UK Safari Group event for the North East (Whitby) - we're just about to announce it, if you'd like to join us please feel free to drop me an e-mail for details at brian.mosley@ukphotosafari.org

I think you'll find this event extremely worthwhile attending ;)

Kind Regards

Brian

Like yorkie I would like to see an open day in my neck of the woods south west wales, pembrokeshire to be precise although I seriously doubt any one would venture further west than Swansea as according to the national news the uk ends outside of the M25. Seriously though does anyone no matter how much they love their E system think that the average uk citizen is going to spend hours travelling plus related costs to attend an open day 100's of miles from where they live?

Hi Daitan,

currently, we have over 70 members in the Olympus UK Photo Safari Group... each month, I poll the members for their availability and, knowing their photographic interests and location in the country - I propose an event which will respond to the majority interests...

The best way to get Olympus supported events in South Wales is to register with our group, and help us to plan an event near to you...

The Safari Group events are the best way to get access to the very latest and widest range of 4/3rds kit, and get to use it as part of a social and interesting photographic event.

Drop me an e-mail if you'd like to be involved in the planning and announcements of all future events... and if you want local support in South West Wales, we'll get it going!

Kind Regards

Brian

Ooops, somehow you managed to miss out on the recent e-group meet at Caerleon, near Newport. :) Here are some links:

Because the weather wasn't great on the day (though we all had a great time) we're thinking about revisiting Caerleon later this year. Local boy, John (theMusicMan) arranged it and has also outlined a few other options too.

There was a joint Four Thirds User (http://fourthirds-user.com) and e-group meet at Woburn a couple of weeks ago:

The next one is on Saturday-week in London, see:

Each time I bring a big bag full of goodies (lenses and bodies) for everyone to try :D

All the best,

Ah well, I did meet up with some DPNow (http://dpnow.com/galleries/showgallery.php/cat/905) pals last month in the Lake District, so not too far from you. I think it's worth a look in the future for the e-group and FTU...
