Hi,
I can't quite figure this all out. I recently came into possession of 4 old OM mounted lenses and am itching to try them out. Before I do that I need an adapter. But I can't quite figure it all out. Is there any reason the Olympus one is SO much more expensive than the ones I can find on ebay?
And also, is 'AF Confirm' the same as normal autofocus? If so why are AF confirm ones still cheaper than the Oly one which doesn't have any autofocus at all?
Cheers,
-Chris

Chris,
I can't really answer that as I bought an adapter made in China for 8 and it is as well made as I would imagine the Olympus one. It doesn't have focus confirm. Here's a photo of it.

I've just bought a 4/3 to M42 adapter with focus confirm for 13 and the way this one works is that when you subject is in focus a half depress of the shutter button returns a bleep confirmation - it's still manual focus - it can't autofocus the manual lens.

I bought an adapter with AF confirm chip on it from a Hong Kong eBayer and it works perfectly. I paid around 10 for it as far as I remember.
