Hi

Just about 2 hours ago I went up into my loft looking for a set of old cokin filters that are still up there somewhere because I found this

Its a Soligor 800mm pre set f8 so I took it straight from the loft and mounted it onto my E500 and took this three houses away

Looks good as does the image. Remember that the greater the distance to the subject the greater the degradation of the image due to dust and moisture in the air, we tend to compensate when looking with the naked eye. Bearing this in mind this image looks very good.

This looks sharp and good.

Is it possible for you to share a non-resized, non post-processed crop depicting a part of the image with detail in it? For instance the pigeon's head.
I am interested in comparing with the results I have achieved by mounting my Olympus body on a spotting scope.

We found a Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 85mm lens in a loft...

It's amazing what people forget they had!

Hi

I believe you did right, judging from the size of the cropped image. From this sample I must say this is good IQ.
