View Full Version : Oly mZuiko 14-150 sample shots

I recently bought an Olympus mZD 14-150 to go on my Panasonic GH2, despite it being unstabilised. I reasoned that the high ISO capabilities of this body would allow me to use higher shutter speeds to compensate for this lack of IS. I thought you might be interested to see my first results from this combination. I found I used it even more than expected, and am very happy with the results, plus the lens is far cheaper than its stabilised Panasonic brother.

PS sorry if it's in the wrong section, but there isn't a section to cover wide-tele zooms!

Looks to be a versatile and, above all, high quality lens capable of great results. :)

Interesting Stephen, I'm beginning to wonder if I should have got one of these myself. Looks to be an ideal travel companion.
How is the distortion at 14mm?

How is the distortion at 14mm?

Err.. I never looked. As long as the photo as a whole looks good I don't bother about distortion. But it can't be too apparent otherwise I'd have noticed!

EDIT I've just had a look, and of the few I've taken at 14mm only one has straight lines in it! That has no noticable distortion. 14mm, 1/160 @ f8, iso800.

I've got the 14-150mm on my E-PL2 and love it.... having a gross aversion to lens-swapping at any time, it suits me down to the ground, and the excellent image quality is just a real bonus.... :)
