I have passed this old oak tree trapped in a forest many times. Today i had me camera, i think it would look better first light with strong light and better shadows.

Take an axe next time you go and chop down the silver birches to the left - they're quite distracting!

Agree with Jim, and the horizontal branch messes up the lines. Interesting tree though.

I think I prefer this one.

BTW, looking at the shape of the tree and the remaining bark, I think it may be a Spanish Chestnut, rather than Oak. I could be wrong though! Check out any leaves on the ground next time.
