Hi,

Does anyone use an Arca style plate with an E5? If so, which one? I've just received my Acratech head and don't have a plate. One that has the additional retaining pin in front of the thread would be very useful.

Thanks for your help.

Something like the Acratech plate?

I did see this. Unfortunately it was only after I'd ordered the tripod. I'm not that keen on spending $40, the postage and customs charges for a plate. I just wondered whether there were any in the UK that people would recommend.

Otherwise it will be a standard flat plate I guess.

You could check if 4th Generation Designs have a UK stockist, I prefer their plate to the Acratech as it's bi-directional.
