Just had delivery of a Metz 15 macro flash. This looks like a ringflash but is in effect a twin flash in which the flash tubes are diametrically opposed at 180deg but the whole unit can be rotated. The individual tubes can also be balanced electronically for power and can be angled for closer shots. There is also a diffuser for use in front of the unit when required. The GN is 15. It can be used wirelessly with a large range of DSLR makes including Oly.The price through Amazon was 230 which compares very favourably with any other ring flash or twin flash on the market and is extremely easy to set up. I bought it for macroflash of insects and flowers etc, but as there are very little of those around at the moment I tried it out on a coin. Kit was E5 plus Leica 14-150mm at 150 with EX25 and MF. I still need to practise a bit but this is an example of what I've done so far. Only problem encountered (which could be a problem with other ring flashes) is that the unit blocks out a lot of light when very close making MF tricky.
