Hi everyone got a quick query.
Its almost 12 months since I last had a DSLR and now I'm not travelling for work quite as much I'm hoping to pick up another to play with, and I was looking at Olympus having had an E620 before, but has Olympus discontinued everything but the new E5?
I was thinking about an E30 as its larger or an E620 with grip but can't find anything but the E5 anywhere?

Then why not go for the E-5? :P

Lol, wish I could afford it!

you should be able to find a 620 with a grip somewhere - 30's were discounted to clear stock by Jessops, and Curry's cleared the 3's. Dedicated camera stores held very little stock as far as I was aware - so clearing it wasn't hard!

otoh you should be able to pick up a 30 on here easily enough - for around 500 or a touch under, but that would be body.

I was in warehouseexpress (Norwich) just before Xmas and I'm sure they had a E30 with either 14-54 or 12-60 (can't remember which) in their clearence cabinet, believe it was their x-demo model but looking in perfect condition and was a reasonable price. You might want to give them a try (probably need to call as it wasn't on their webiste).

Simon

I believe this is the matching grip, but not too sure:

Thanks everyone, been having a look and spotted a dealer selling the E520 twin lens kit for 329 new which seems a good deal, although I might stick an ad in the Classifieds and see what people have got.

You could even try that well known auction website. I picked up my 510 with 14-42 for 180 quid, I was watching for 620s and few did come up at a reasonable price (just not reasonable enough for me). The camera works a treat, wish I could say the same for the operator.

Thanks everyone I'm still pondering my options, I've narrowed it down to either a Gripped E620, E-30 or possibly a Pentax K7 as they have halved in price since I last looked at them last year!
Just trying to scope out cost + lens options although I have the experience of some of the Olympus lenses so I know that even the Kit Lenses were fairly decent, so that may swing it for me v a move to Pentax

Ouch, that's pricey, 50% more than I paid.

I got my HLD5 from Park Cameras for 50. They sell on eBay on via their own site.

Or Park Cameras have the E-620 + 14-42 for 499.

Alternatively there is CeX, they sell either in the shop or online, prices are keen, and they give a 12 month guarantee which is more than you can expect from eBay.
